Prediction market law in Georgia

No public action found

Georgia officials have taken no action on prediction markets; private class actions and gambling-loss recovery suits against Kalshi are pending.

No cease-and-desist letter, state lawsuit, or enacted prediction-market law was found for Georgia, and its attorney general was not among the signers of the April 2026 CFTC comment letter, the June 2026 Sixth Circuit amicus brief, or the July 2026 44-attorney-general letter to the CFTC. A 2026 bill requiring age verification for online gambling content, S 571, did not pass. Private plaintiffs have sued Kalshi in federal court in Georgia, including a class action and gambling-loss recovery suits under an old 'Statute of Anne' theory. Those recovery suits are stayed.
