The question
Whether the Commodity Exchange Act preempts Nevada gambling or sports-wagering law as applied to event contracts listed on a CFTC-designated contract market.
Robinhood's derivatives arm challenged Nevada's enforcement against its sports event contracts. The preliminary-injunction ruling went up to the Ninth Circuit with the Kalshi and Crypto.com appeals.
