The question
Whether the CEA preempts Wisconsin law as applied to event contracts on CFTC-registered exchanges, so that the state may be enjoined from enforcing it against them.
The CFTC sued Wisconsin days after the state filed felony-based enforcement suits against five exchanges. Kalshi and Crypto.com's exchange intervened. The court denied preliminary relief.
