Prediction Market Laws. (2026, October 28). New York State Gaming Commission v. Kalshi, Inc.. https://predictionmarketlaws.com/lawsuits/nysgc-v-kalshi-subpoenas
Petition filed Oct. 22, 2026; no ruling as of Oct. 28, 2026.
The question
Whether Kalshi must fully answer the Gaming Commission's July 31, 2026 administrative subpoenas.
The Gaming Commission asks the court to compel Kalshi to comply with subpoenas issued July 31, 2026. It says Kalshi's Sept. 18 partial response produced no internal records. The subpoenas seek totals traded by New York users, sports contracts traded by users under 21, advertising records, ownership, and who took part in self-certifying Kalshi's sports contracts. These are the commission's allegations.
Docket timeline
The Gaming Commission files a verified petition to compel compliance with its subpoenas.
